Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation Donates to ENAGB Indigenous Youth Agency

In honour of this year’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation is pleased to announce a donation to the Eshkiniigjik Naandwechigegamig, Aabiish Gaa Binjibaaying (ENAGB) Indigenous Youth Agency in Toronto.

The core of the ENAGB Indigenous Youth Agency is to listen and understand youth, which is why the organization is led by a Youth Council (made up of Indigenous youth aged 12-29) and a Board of Directors (composed of Indigenous youth aged 18+). By recognizing that the voices and experiences of young individuals hold great value, and giving them an opportunity to make themselves heard, the organization fosters a sense of agency and ownership, empowering youth to take an active role in their journey of personal growth.

Traditional Indigenous practices are weaved into the programs at ENAGB. Programs currently available include:

• The ENAGB Youth Program, where the programming is based on the feedback of the youth and staff
• EarlyON, a program and services for children (aged 0 – 6) and their families
• Gdinwewninaa, Gbimaadzewninaa, a weekly Indigenous language and cultural program

The Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation was established in 2015 by the employees of FGP to support charities in communities across Canada that benefit children. Since 2021, the Foundation has pledged to donate to at least one charity serving the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
