Paul Spagnolo

Paul joined FGP in 2024 as Chief Operating Officer. In addition, he is the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. He has overall responsibility for the firm’s day-to day Operations and Compliance functions. He is a member of FGP’s Investment Committee and the FGP Executive Committee. 

Paul’s career began in 1995 at Arthur Andersen & Co. before embarking on a career in asset management in 2002. Prior to joining FGP, Paul was President and Chief Operating Officer at Sionna Investment Managers, a firm he joined in 2013.

Paul is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario (HBA). He holds the Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant designation. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Paul is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Textile Museum of Canada and is Treasurer of the organization. He served as chair of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada’s Operations Head Network from 2011 to 2014. Paul was a member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Registrant Advisory Committee between 2017 and 2022 and was a mentor in the CFA Society Toronto Mentorship Program between 2016 and 2022.
